An Emerging Leader in Digital Storytelling

The Isaacson School for New Media is a place to explore the extraordinary. It was born in the heart of Colorado’s Digital Valley and named for Walter Isaacson, one of the most influential digital pioneers of our time. The Isaacson School was founded by such generous visionaries as lifetime Aspen Institute Trustee and the founder of the CMC Board of Overseers, Jim Calaway and others who saw the potential for it to become an international leader. Following their lead, we work together to push the limits of the digital landscape. As a team-oriented institute, we encourage you to do the same.

This is a dynamic learning environment that prepares you to start your career the right away. We strive to always be at the forefront of the digital media industry. In the Digital Valley and through the Aspen Institute you’ll have access to some of the most influential innovators, storytellers, and thought leaders in the world.

Location, leadership, engaged faculty, and passionate students combine to position the Isaacson School for New Media at the cutting edge of digital media education.

Our Program

Learn into the Future

This isn’t your standard learning experience. Not even close. We push limits and ask important questions. We encourage independent thinking while working together. We shift perspectives—both yours and your audiences’—and bring today’s stories into focus. We’re out in the field just as often as we’re in the studio. We look at things differently and we’re guessing that if you’ve landed here, you do, too.
